Christmas makes 2018
In terms of self-made Christmas gifts, this year was fairly quiet. I had drawn my father for the gifts and he’s more for comic books and practical gifts than crocheted dolls or knitted dresses 😉 So the handmade items were limited to the gifts for my goddaughter.
Firstly I sewed her a dress with the left over fabric from my Astrid sweater. I knew immediately that I did not want a straight dress, because I feared that it would otherwise appear to be a nightgown because of the fabric. That’s why I chose a pattern with a pleated skirt. My sewing teacher gave me the idea to also incorporate the rest of the green hem fabric, not only at the neck and sleeves, but also to make a piping between upper body and skirt.
I think the end result is really beautiful.
The next Christmas gift was again a dress, knitted this time, another Bulle dress.
Cheers,
Charlotte
