My June Dress
Last may, one of my nieces got married. For the wedding I had decided that I wanted to make my entire outfit myself. With that in mind, I started working on my dress in sewing class somewhere in december. The dress I was going to make was the June dress from La Maison Victor.

The fabric I had chosen was a lilac cotton with little sparkles. Very festive.
It was a good thing that I made this dress in sewing class, because I don’t think I would have managed it on my own. Especially since the bodice required some adjustments to properly fit my body.
When I thought I had almost finished, my teacher started talking about lining and that it would be better that I included one in the dress. So this meant I was to make the entire dress a second time, but now from lining fabric.
It did cost me a lot of work and a little blood, since I kept stabbing myself with pins, but the result was worth it all, because I’m so very pleased with it.
I love the fit and fabric on me. I’m so very proud of this achievement, even if it isn’t 100% perfect 😀
Cheers,
Charlotte
